If the dealer says no, just call Toyota of North America Phone: 800-331-4331 The transmission in my 01 tundra went out a 62K miles. The dealer told too bad and it was going to be 3800.00 bucks to fix it. I just called Toyota of North America explained to them that I have been a loyal Toyota truck buyer for 12 years and have had 5 of them. They gave my number to the area warranty supervisor he called and we worked it out. I was out of warranty so they really didn't have to do anything for me. They covered the cost of labor and sold me the transmission at dealer cost 1660.00
