Be sure to measure the seating distances in your room before you go buy a TV that is "too big" or "too small".

There is an optimum viewing distance based on visual acuity:
Optimum HDTV viewing distance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Too big and too close and you would see the pixel make-up of the screen. No matter what size screen, for 1080p HDTV, they all have 1080 horizontal lines.

Too small and too far away and you gain nothing.

JMHO

PS: Don't let the fools at BestBuy or where ever tell you you need monster cables, special $60.00 HDMI cables, or their super-duper HDTV antenna. That is all BS. If you need cables go here: http://www.cablesforless.com/c-292-value-hdmi-cables-good.aspx?gclid=CIjTtsPasqUCFYK5KgodXRpaZQ& If you need an antenna for broadcast TV, just get a UHF antenna from your local hardware store. And for speaker cables, just go to Home Depot and buy all you want of the 16ga. lamp cord zipcord.
