I shot my friends lever action .22 last week. It looked pretty and the action was smooth. I did not like the white metal showing inside the action when open (receiver is black painted zinc alloy). The trigger was super-creepy. I decide then and there I would not be happy with it. I'll be getting my kids something else, like a Marlin. My 9422 is super nice but on the used market they are around $800!
