I had a Marlin 60 for years. I now have a Ruger 10/22. For getting ready quickly to stop a varmint, the 10/22 wins. Unloading is also quicker. Put a cheap 3-9x40 Simmons scope with Weaver mounts from Wally World, and you can really reach out and touch em!
