There's more rust. There's always more rust. Poke around with a screwdriver or other implement of destruction. Remove the screws under the rocker covers and poke around there--especially the jack point and aft of it. Poke the firewall down below the battery tray. Look under the carpets, especially back on the right side at the back of the passenger compartment, and under the driver's feet.

Sounds like a fair price.

The EMPI wheels will fit, but most of them won't let you put more than 165-width tires on. They're the VW Bug offset, rather than the 914 one... There were some EMPI wheels made in a 914 offset, though.
