You'd want to set it on "VDC" in the voltage range you're looking for. Hard for me to make out the settings from your pic.
Suggestion: Craftsman part # 82303...a great little book:
Multitesters and their use for electrical testing.
Best 10 bucks for reference material I've ever spent.
