I still vote for the cliff. P38's are basically the same as Jags of that era, either everything works beautifully, or it's problem riddled and you'll spend thousands fixing the stupid crap and that's only if you do the work yourself. Throw a 50 gallon drum of diesel in the back with a fuse and push it over a cliff....Then, have him get a RRC, still have problems, but not nearly as bad. Of course, there's really no reason he can't drive it with shot air bags as long as he intends to replace everything...

I think he'd follow right up to the bit about another Rover. He had a Land Cruiser he wishes he'd never sold..... I think another one of those would be in order.
