That already happened, although there has been disagreement about it.

Note added May 5, 2010: The NASA team that made the original discovery of
fossil-like structures in a meteorite from Mars now has new evidence. At a NASA conference
on astrobiology, David McKay claimed that the highlighted object in
the image below is a "biomorph," a fossil of a once-living bacterium.
