interesting, you have to think that from drawing board to showrooms has to be
at least 2 years. which would make 2013 the earliest new model year,
IF there is a plan to launch a new sport boxer. i don't know where all the speculation is coming from if the head of design denies any work is even being done.
here is my $0.02 of speculation. as the HP2S tooling is already in place, you will see continued revisions, which will be nothing more than color changes (2010 LE anyone?) perhaps some cost cutting (plastic instead of CF, forged parts instead of billet), and maybe the 1250 big bore, which already looks like a factory skunks work project. at which point you will have the "new" R1250S.
no need for a drawing board when you are just swapping parts, and filling the spray gun with a different color.
