That was my question too.
It was a private DE organized by CIBC (the bank). The first session was without helmet and the second with, I don;t know why, since there was no difference in speed or traffic between the two. Maybe they don't want to introduce two unknown at the same time; first time on track and first time driving with a helmet...
Also even though I had a fire extinguisher they don't require one.
