What I have learned.
Keep a copy of any numbers you may have on your car at home. VIN, Roll cage, etc.
Put a number somewhere on the car and take a pic. Somewhere that is only you would know and is difficult to find.

The main 2 items to get the car were the S/N on the fuel cell on the inside of the tank. I did not know this until 2 days ago. The S/N on the engine and tranny.
The VIN number was replaced and the log book number was filled off
