While maybe not as popular as the 996 hardtop, you might try calling some local Porsche dealerships.. With the 996 cab, for a couple years, the hardtop came "standard" and many were stored at the dealership.. sometimes they need to clean things out a bit. Perhaps they have some boxster tops for sale too!
Don't forget the spinlocks too! Try local craigslist too.
