Actually the gear box wasn't a true semi auto...it was a 4 speed transaxle with normal clutch, and had a pre-select shift operated by electrics and vacuum, that shifted to the selected gear when the clutch pedal was depressed.

I got the tie-in when I saw the pic of HER Lockheed Electra (the Original Electra, not the passenger Electra/Orion)... reminded me that she had a Cord 810.
Wasn't her Cord a roadster, though...?
