Absolutely right, Paul. Let me clear the air a bit so no one feels bad.
We will always remember the late, great Marc Sanders, aka "Drago" here on Pelican, as "Mr. Black Audi Wagon". It wasn't his car, but it was his controversy - he's the one who started the shytestorm over it here on Pelican. He had all kinds of nasty things to say about the club and its members, and that thread carried on and on, getting kinda ugly all the way around before it finally died a slow death.
Folks who didn't know us kind of assumed Drago had earned a position as a life-long enemy of the club, our nemesis, or whatever. So what did we do about it? We made him a member. I hauled his sorry (and rather imposing, at 6'8 and 300 pounds) ass down to Treffen (our annual gathering). He was about as nervous as a whore in church, trying to keep a low profile (as much as a guy his size could), and wondering the whole time when he would be recognized and his comeuppance would come due.
So a plan was hatched - a "chance meeting" was arranged wherein he would meet R Gruppe co-founder Cris, alone in the hotel elevator. It was a glass elevator, visible to the entire lobby and lounge area of the hotel. Damn near the whole club was watching as Cris "just happened" to step into the same elevator as Marc. By the time the door had opened three floors later, Cris had offered him his hand, and membership in the R Gruppe.
Marc was a great guy, a very good friend, and a much loved member of our club. He left us all too soon, and is still deeply missed by us all. He will forever be affectionately remembered as "Mr. Black Audi Wagon" among his friends in the club. Hell, while he was still alive, we were considering instituting a "Black Audi Wagon Achievement Award" in his name, to be awarded yearly to the member who most successfully got non-members' panties in a twist. Maybe we still should - Marc would laugh his ass off over something like that.
Anyway, Bill - no harm, no foul. Marc would have loved the video. Put it back up if you like. Those of us that knew and loved the big guy see it as just his style, and something he would appreciate, in his own warped and lovable way.
