I had junk carpet in mine for a while. Concrete floors are cold and don't warm up at all. As an added bonus dropped bolts.don't roll too far. It's a pain in the butt moving a jack on carpet though. Now I just have a couple 4 by 4 squares I drag around to sit or lay on.
