I have a piece that the 911 sits on. We had carpet installed last year so I used the old for the garage. It does make it nicer when crawling under the car.
My floor is coated but it still is cold and hard.
I've heard that it helps tires from flatspotting, too. My car sits during the winter so if it helps, so be it.
