I think the Plus 4 has Triumph running gear. I was never a fan of the 4 seater, which I think this is, but apart from that pretty damn cool
Just think, you can still buy one pretty much made the same way to this day!
Oh and a side note about side screens - I had one of the windows in those blow out on me in an MGA going about 70mph - gave me one hell of a fright the noise it made - boommmmmmmm!
