In 1983, right when honda power equipment started to be sold here in the us, my dad bought a new honda lawn mower. I mowed lawns for extra cash back then ( 13 years old). I used the hell out of this mower. I still have it today, it still starts first pull, and runs like a clock. Not a spot of rust on the deck. The only things I have ever had to replace have been a couple of cables, spark plugs, air filters, and oil, and oh, I forgot, I backed into the handle once, and cracked it . This thing is indestructible. It is actually starting to blow some blue smoke though. That is nearly 27 years of continuous use, and has never once let us down.
