I have a Sargent saddle & found it superior to the stock seat. If however, 900-1100 mile trips on the stocker are OK & sliding forward onto the tank is your only problem, you can raise the nose of the saddle by affixing a rubber bumper to the tank in such a way that it is hidden when the saddle is in place. That might do it for you.
