Our cat is an alpha cat and grabbing her by her scruff has the exact opposite effect as one would expect. She will go bat shyte crazy with fangs, spit, and razor sharp claws flying with reckless abandon. The groomer found that out the hard way last year trying to put her in a carrier. The groomer came back with heavy leather gloves the next time.


With the other cats that I have had growing up, wrapping the cat like a mummy in a towel has worked well.
