Yeah I see going from the side would be a problem sliding the engine foreword wouldn't work very well.
I already have some of the gaskets, I just have a few more left to purchase. Also I just did the timing belt 20 miles ago (2 years) along with the water pump, and tensioner rebuild, the belt is in great shape and has not come in contact with coolant or oil.
What I have done:
I have also replaced the battery, starter, alternator, air filter, front main seal, vacuum lines, front brake discs, and all the pads. I have also flushed the cooling system, changed the oil and filter, rebuilt the transmission shift valve housing and drained the torque converter, flushed the cooler lines, and replaced the transmission fluid. Also rewired the dash board, and gutted the interior down to the dash and driver's seat.
What it still needs:
Engine internal inspection, drive line shaft creep check, torque converter-flex plate rivets replaced with bolts, repaint, new racing seats and misc electrical such as grounds and a central warning unit problem. The A/C is inop. but that's not on my to do list.
Also, the transmission acts weird, it doesn't always go into gear when first started, but after a short warm up time, it goes into gear when selected, and shifts fine in the foreword gears and into reverse also, so I don't know what that means for my transmission.
OK. so after further research, I have come to understand that the cross member behind the bumper is welded in at the sides. Didn't know this before lol so taking the bumper off is out of the question. Guess I'll find out about a larger lift.
Thanks,
Anthony.
PS. I read my earlier post... wow that sounds bad. Also, I do take my work seriously and I don't half ass things, so any work I complete is handled with proper care and done right the first time.
Oh, ill post pics tomorrow when there is light outside.
