The accidents I have seen lately have not been kind to the helmeted skier. In fact, the last accident I heard of in the states, the person with the helmet died. The person not wearing the helmet - same crash, survived.
I'll say it again. I've (now) got 36 seasons under my belt. Statistics are looking in my favor.
