The online representative said that I would need to purchase a new MACBOOK BOX SET in order to sync my NEW IPAD WITH MY COMPUTER...

I now have an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar because I want these issues taken care of, so I can come home with a fully functioning IPAD....

It would have been nice to know this information before spending almost $1000 for something that I cannot even use at this time.

Get back at them: go on ptp network, download a 10.5 system on a usb key, upgrade your laptop for free and make it work. When computer companies try to screw with me, I screw with them...
