Was just reading about this in a thread about importing to Canada on this site , page 10 I think it was, mind you this info on that post was a couple of years ago, RIV is a private company and all manafacturers have to provide this info to the Fed. Gov. by law so it seems that this is just another money grab and a way to deter people from saving money and to buy cars in Canada, unfortunatly some of the cars we look for aren't readily available here at home and because of this the cost is even that much higher , the old supply and demand crap
