Look at the video again. He was defiantly holding something that reflected light, like you'd hold a baseball bat.
But I must add... There seemed to be very little provocation by the "suspect".
He was standing in the door way. He wasn't moving towards the police.
It's very difficult if not impossible to access what happened from this video.
