Got that out of my system for a while by going to a 928 gathering in early Nov. The tour rule of thumb was to take corners at twice the posted recommendation (those yellow signs just before the corner). The only one of 50 that got a ticket was the guy that refused to drive with the group because he did not speed. Cop gave him a ticket for the speed he clocked the RV passing him. The 996 Turbo I was right behind claimed we hit 165 even though my speedo didn't go over 150. Me thinks his speedo was a bit ambitious. I know my 01 Boxster S speedo was high by 3mph at 40 and got more and more optimistic the faster I drove.

The same group is planning a weekend trip to the Texas Mile in March. Sounds like fun.
