Choose the banker first. The bank he works for doesn't make that much difference. Find a banker who will work with you on a personal basis and develop the relationship with him. A good personal business banker will cut all the red tape for you and get done what you need done. Call a few banks and ask if they have small business bankers who work directly as personal bankers for the business. Any bank that is set up that way will have any number of educated and highly motivated people who will want to be your personal banker.
