I used to use a cassette to mp3 player to listen to music because I was in the same boat all the fm transmitters I had ever used sucked but the 44 only has a cd player/radio and the same with the truck I'm driving so my gf gave me an fm transmitter for christmas. I think this one which is kind of pricey at $80

I've been really impressed with it so far, really clear sound no static, you can choose from the whole fm spectrum not just a couple of preset stations which is key.
