I agree Bill. I really hate wearing steel toe boots, esp. the big clunky heavy boots. But I like the roughedness of work boots when I work in the field. I haven't found the ideal boots yet, the kind that feel like running shoes under my feet and don't weight 5 lbs each while giving me the mobility to climb stairs and platforms, crawl under pipe, walk in gravel for 8 hrs and keep my feet warm and dry.
I almost need shoes/boots for every environment
On topic: the Ariat dealer in town had a very small selection and no square toe boots. The 9.5 round toe boots in the store fit me well. I hope the 9D square toes that are on the way fit.
