could be exactly what that is - there are some veins on the outer thigh in humans, IIRC - branches off of something else
it probably is not the femoral artery, tho some pains can radiate
if none of the MDs here chime in, you should at least make an appt. to be seen by your PCP
you have health ins. I assume & need a check up every year or 2 anyway - your health ins. co. can no longer deny paying for a yearly checkup as of Jan. 1 of this year so it is just the time & hassle of doing it that holds you back, i guess
I finally overcame that time & hassle & saw my PCP (but no full physical, as he said the one in mid-2009 was close enuff)...
so, make the appt.
