No ticket, just a scenario of how NOT to talk to an officer.
I've had tummy bugs that felt like ulcers The big difference is ulcers hurt more when you tummy acids up for the next meal. A couple of Ciproflox knocked em right out.
If/when you get the courage/feel like you can change jobs to talk to your employer...DO NOT make it an asking for a raise conversation. Any time you put an employer on the spot with an "or else" you will always leave with the else. Instead make it a "Thought you would like to know I bumped into your old nemesis and he offered to hire me away from you" heads up thing. Kind of an "Oh man, you'll like this...Bumped into so and so and since you got me all trained, he offered me a $16 an hour internship position. Can you believe that guy?" You did apply to work for both when you got your current job didn't you? And your current boss is the one that hired you when the other one wouldn't. You want to leave your boss with the idea that he now has something that his nemesis wants not the idea that you are looking to go to the other side. If you come across correctly it should make you look more loyal than if you don't tell him and he finds out anyway.
