Not an excuse.
I regularly have Federal LEO's at my house.
I am aware that they carry pretty much 100% of the time.
I don't have an issue with them carrying in my house and my kids are regularly at their houses.
I know they take carrying/gun safety seriously.
I'm sure if the OP's incident were to happen in their houses there would have been some harsh words exchanged as they tossed the officer out on his ass.
