I got a Sony 42" Tube TV 3~4 ratio, that was the last big tube done by any company. Great picture and it was in line with the Go As Big As You Can Philosophy at the time.
Go with a flat screen as big as you (and your room) can handle. If not, you will regret it.
My next one will be a 65"+ Cinema Wide. Not shure which brand. Our Sharp Aquos flat screen is very nice. Definitely not going 3D.
