Actually, if you look carefully--the bottom one is not quite what he has. Very similar in how it all goes together, but not quite the same part... It seems to be something else entirely, hence my speculation about it being a Bus motor hanger.

Anyway, what he needs is very definitely the top set of stuff in your diagrams. That is quite true.
