The owner comissioned Hollywood Hot Rods (Cali) to build a full scale replica @2 years ago from that model kit down to every last detail rumored to cost $200K + The car has won many awards and recently was seen seen for sale in a popular online hot rod specialty classifieds for @$135K+ but no takers as far as I know.
Interesting thing is most of the model kits at that time were based off of real TV or show cars. This model kit was not.
