The current owner, knowing that I have been looking for the car is now asking me 25k for the car. I was the third owner and would be fifth, assuming I do buy the car back. AS info, the car is a low mileage SC, 80k, well optioned from the factory with sport seats, auto heat, large gas tank, full leather. I did much of the upgrade work in the 1990s, doing a steel slant nose conversion including rockers and rear quarters. I added Turbo brakes, tie rods, bilsteins, and the Speedlines, along with high quality repaint in original light blue metallic.
The engine was rebuilt with Mahle P&C with low compression while planning to do after market Turbo. I ended up with a Paxton centrifugal supercharger, MSD, twin plug heads, EFI, aggressive cams, ported heads, all in all about 15k in 1995 money spent on the engine. It dynoed, 12 years ago ~350 RWHP, and above 250 with the SC belt off. In addition the interior has numerous finishing touches, including Bird console in matching blue leather, high end stereo with trunk mounted amp and underdash cover with speakers, central locking and after market alarm wired to factory immobilizer.
I know the car is not worth 25k, but what would it be worth to someone other than me, who has an admitted emotional attachment to the car?
