My car won't rev past 5500 RPM's. It pulls hard all the way there then dies. Thought it might be the rev limiter but that should kick in at 7300.

If I keep my foot to the floor it dies down to 4000 and runs rough. When I let the RPM's come down again dirve normally for a bit, it runs fine until I step on it and the process repeats it's self.

Idle and timing are perfect as I set them yesterday.

Are these symptoms indicative of a weak fuel pump?
