Well said. That's the great thing about Porsche in a nutshell right there. Their motors all have such amazing responsive power deliveries, and that is a very large part of what makes a great car. The Italians and the Germans seem to be the only countries that haven't forgotten how to make great powertrains. It's a lost art that makes most modern cars, especially anything american, just downright boring commuting appliances. Power isn't everything!!! The average american seems to me to be generally very narrow minded IMHO.
Also, therin lies the beauty of the twin turbo. Smaller turbos as well as superchargers are better for driving since they increase power as well as respond very well across the rpm range. The dyno record setters take forever to reach high rpm/peak power because the huge turbo can't boost until there's enough exhaust gas to spin it. When that happens, it's like lighting off a rocket. No fun for street or track! That's why I would give anything to try driving that 9ff motor.
