Also very helpful input too! I knew the stories behind Porsche making a turbocharged 16v engine but I had doubts. this pretty much keeps my motivation in doing this project, thanks again!

what are you using to mod that manifold? I too want to retain the 'vanity' option of the 3.0s to retain a factory look when the bonnet is open and I like your idea of combining the 951 intake with the 968's.
