I use the heck out of the roof rack on both of my Jeeps. The old beater jeep has a thule rack system on it ( there when I got it), and I haul ladders, wood, pipes, you name it. We also use the factory rack on our other jeep for long distance road trips.We use one of those big yakima containers, and we can fit a ton of stuff in it and leave us some room in the vehicle to move around.
I don't care if it looks dorky, suv's in general are dorky anyhow, just large crap haulers to me
