Hard to find...

an '89 with 20k miles. I'm not sure of your intentions with the car, but much of the value is in the low miles. If you drive it, say 2-3k miles a year, it will probably lose quite a bit of its value in a few years. I kinda feel sorry for these low mile cars in a way. I'm glad a few pop up here and there just so enthusiasts can see an original version so they know how the stickers, paint marks, etc., are really done at the factory. It's impossible to duplicate, the last of the old chassis 911's, and probably $50k cheaper than a new base 911.

The only detractor I see is the loss of the Fuchs - the 9" rears alone are probably $1500.00 if you can find a nice set. I remember JW talking about quite a few people dumping the Fuchs for BBS rims in the 80's - too many drugs I guess!

If it really is a mint 20k mile original, I'd second the $30k start point, maybe if it had the original Fuchs $33k - $35k. I would scrutinize the paperwork closely. These old 911's have high quality interior/exterior finishes that hold up well. It's relatively easy to have a 50k - 60k mile car with a disconnected odometer show like a 20k mile one, especially if the original wheels/tires are gone.
