What I need at this point is a little community support.. this whole endeavor has left me incredibly depressed, and I could really use some knowledge and experience from my fellow Porsche enthusiasts... This is the engine that came out of the car, it's in pretty decent shape, the cylinder walls and pistons are still in great shape but it needs rebuilt.
I have an engine stand, I have access to a hoist, I have the rings and bearings in the mail, and I can get the tools required.. I just dont have experience building bottom ends.. Also, I dont know what else in the block should be replaced while its apart, or the proper techniques to getting it done. EVERY other part of the engine is basically new or rebuilt, so I would like to do this the way I originally intended.. so that my "new" engine will last ANOTHER 23 years.
Also, it would be nice to go into my garage without having to avoid looking at the car... any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Pelicans,
Bobby
