So much wrong about this car and a few things right.
What hurts price:
1) black painted targa hoop and glass frames
2) later model rocker trim
3) rear decklid is from a 2.4 not a 70/71 2.2
4) rear bumper overriders are from a 73 only 911 model as well
5) front and rear blinker and taillight lense and black horn grilles are from a 73 mode as well.
6) all 4 door pockets are all missing (these are expensive)
7)car has been re painted a non original color (the 70/71 factory colors never included Grand Prix white. While its possible that it was special ordered from the factory, based upon the rest of the car, I would expect that the GPW repaint was part of the"update" look the previous owner was looking for.
8) Last but not least, the 68 2.0 non matching number motor hurts the car's collector value substantially
Enough on the negatives. Here are some positives.
1) It's a long hood targa.
2) The targa top looks to be in good condition
3) The car has factory early sport seats.
4) H4's
All of the minuses can be corrected at a hefty cost. If the car is rust and accident free, and is actually in driving condition, I would price it at around $11-13k. You should get something close to that.
Just my opinion. Hope that helps.
