Definitely 98 RON. This was my main concern when talking with Russell for one of his chips. My car is a RoW '86 with no cat as stock and I use 98 RON, which apparently isn't as good as 98 RON in Japan or Europe. Maybe Aussie as well?
Russells only concern was he wanted the number on the chip so he could confirm if it had an o2 sensor or not. The 24 pin chip he sent me went in no worries, ran as cool as stock, didn't idle much different from stock and when driving the gains were immediately noticeable with part throttle with a much more usable powerband. It was much smoother than stock when accelerating through the rev range and freer revving too.
I don't really see Miller having that much of a problem with tuning for RoW cars when they're so established with BMWs but I'll be highlighting these same concerns to them if i go ahead and buy one of their MAFs.
