I've adopted a policy in life, to completely cut all comms to people that A i don't like or B people i like but keep doing stupid things despite good advice.

- A i simple, Shun Chuck

- B i'de tell SIL that she need get her **** together, and think real hard about who she deals with. I would not tell her to ditch Chuck, she has to do that herself.


Since adopting this policy, i have a lot less to worry about..
Obviously complicating factor is your wife, unless she follows the same policy, you will have to worry about it wether you like it or not.
