This is exactly how I got into the SuperAutomatics. I brought in a semi-auto for a bunch of Romanians, so they would have some decent coffee. We got 10 people to put up $60 and we bought the super. When I tested it at home, I said I had to get one!

My dad loved my machine, so we bought him one when he moved to Houston.

On my machine, since Spring of 2007, we've 10364 shots/cups of coffee without any problems (knocking on wood).

Not counting coffee, we're down to under 6 cents per cup. The coffee we use is $4.50 for 13oz. I bet we get 25-30 cups per bag. Call it 15 cents per cup for the coffee itself.

Checking Amazon, the K-cups run at least 50 cents each. The machine runs $150. On the Super Automatic, $599 for the machine, and $.15 per coffee. Break even on the SuperAutomatic is 1283 cups/shots vs the Kcup machines.

ESE pods are a little cheaper, but the coffee isn't as good.
