Rick Cabell is primarily responsible for mine. He originally imported it in '84 and got it federalized, sold it and then repurchased it in 2001. He then started a multi-year freshening, whereby he repainted it, installed an RS carpet kit and deleted some insulation, and rebuilt the engine to 3.0RS-MFI specs. That is the way Porsche should have built this car originally, although the 3.0CIS was also a nice configuration.
This car never had a sunroof or A/C, but has the factory sport seats, LSD and whale-tail. Consequently relatively light at 2,425 pounds with 3/4 tank but no driver.
Would love to touch base with the owners of the two continental orange cars here in the US. John, you've done a great job with that car. Best of luck to you on the sale.

Hello EmeraldE ,
I see your car has the holes in the engine bay rain channels for rubber bumpers. And a piece on the passenger side rear decklid hinge for a 2nd shock on that side.
So I'm assuming this was a Carrera 3.0 originally ordered with front & rear spoilers.
Could you check something for me. Look on the passenger side engine firewall , And see if the bracket (tabs) are spot welded there to attach the other end of the passenger side decklid/whaletail shock ? If so , maybe post a photo ?
I see the shock is not installed on that side.
Thx much
