Hi,
The exhaust piece that you are talking about is also called a crossover pipe. It connects the exhaust manifolds, the wastegate, and the turbo together. I would check on ebay as I see these come up sometimes. Also check with some auto wreckers like PAP or 944 Ecology. Although this part does have double walls, I have not seen one fail, but that does not mean much. I did have a double wall exhaust pipe collapse, but on my car it was the pipe leading into the catalytic converter. It collapsed so much that it choked my engine to the point that it would barely idle.
