Is it O.K. to call a black guy "brother"?
Well, I did it anyhow, in casual conversation with the neighbor at one of the rental houses. He came out to thank me for cleaning up around the front of his house. We chatted real quick, and cordial , he thanked me again, and I said " no problem brother" Nothing was meant by it, but it sort of did not feel right as the words slid off my lips.
My lady says that is a no no. He did not seem bothered by it. Just wondering
