I know there's a good number of fellas on here with carbureted Ducati SS900s from the '90s. Thanks to everyone, especially Higgins, for helping me out about those.

Anyone have experience with mid-2000s FI supersports? All the reviews say - more reliable (uh . . . yeah. . whatever) and good power, about the amount I feel I can handle. I would be replacing my incredibly loud former track-bike 1987 CBR600 that has similar HP numbers and about half the torque.

Last fall I did look at a 93 SS900 superlight that was cool, but the price premium was too much, and the potential maintenance problems, and I want to get something I won't feel guilty riding.
